Kayla L. Sullivan is Sullivan Legal Services’ Founding Attorney. Kayla became an attorney to assist everyday people with complex issues. Kayla realized early in her legal career that a lot of people find themselves in situations where they need legal help but do not know where to start. She wanted to be the voice and navigator for individuals who had suffered wrongfully at the hands of other individuals, businesses, governmental agencies, or organizations.

Kayla has practiced law for over 10 years. She started her legal career working at a small firm that represented people who had been injured or mistreated by their employer or another business and those dealing with various civil law matters. She then went on to practice at one of Alabama’s largest Plaintiffs firms, where she continued to practice in the area of personal injury.

Eventually, Kayla transitioned to representing the City of Birmingham, Alabama, and its officials as an Assistant City Attorney, where she defended various civil actions, including personal injury, negligence suits, contract disputes, real estate and property disputes, employment discrimination, sexual harassment, and more. After practicing for several years at the City of Birmingham, she decided to start Sullivan Legal Services to fulfill her passion of helping those individuals and families in need of quality legal help.

Kayla’s legal experience on both the Plaintiff’s and Defendant’s side of the law gives her the unique advantage of representing you at every angle. She has successfully handled hundreds of cases in and out of court. She has successfully recovered significant damage rewards for her clients.

Personal Life

Kayla was born and raised in the Birmingham area. She and her husband, James, are the proud parents to their son, Sire, and daughter, Amilli. When she is not representing her clients, she enjoys going on walks, dining, and traveling with friends and family.
